Clemente Nicado, the publisher of Negocios Now, was selected by Chicago United as one of its 2023 Business Leaders of Color, a group of influential and accomplished individuals ready for corporate board directorships.
This year’s leaders of color will celebrate Thursday, Nov. 16, at Hilton Chicago, 720 S. Michigan Ave.
“It is a tremendous honor for me to receive this recognition along with other Latino leaders for whom I have deep respect,” said Nicado. “I want to dedicate this recognition to all those who, in one way or another, collaborated with our publications and helped me grow as a professional and executive of a media company over 16 years.”
Nicado is CEO of Nicado Publishing Co. and owner of Negocios Now and El Chicago Hispano and other digital publications. He hosts Latinos 40 Under 40, the Who’s Who in Hispanic Business gala, and other events. He’s also a board member of Allies for Community Business, a nonprofit organization that provides the capital, coaching, and connections that entrepreneurs need to grow great businesses that create jobs and wealth in their communities.
Chicago United developed the leaders of color program to identify diverse talent for Fortune 100, 500, and 1000 companies. Since its inception in 2003, the program has identified 470 board-ready candidates.
