Jessica Garcia is a senior manager of global diversity and inclusion at Paramount, where she develops and implements diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives. Through her work, Garcia champions an inclusive culture in which all employees experience a sense of belonging and can bring their whole selves to work. Garcia also supports the development of the company’s diversity and inclusion partnerships by cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and optimizing growth opportunities.
Outside of her work at Paramount, Garcia owns a promotional products company based out of the Caribbean. Through her business, Garcia has prioritized giving back to the community by donating to educational projects for children in underserved communities.
In her extensive media and entertainment career, she has held various roles in network programming and operations at companies such as BBC America, WWE, Epix, and BET Networks. During this time, Garcia served on the New York chapters’ board for the National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications and Women in Cable Telecommunications, igniting her passion to advocate for underserved communities. Garcia volunteers with multiple industry and community-based mentoring initiatives such as Disability: IN’s NextGen Leaders Program, Paramount’s Mentoring+, and the Latina Mentoring Initiative. Through these programs, she provides personal and professional advice to up-and-coming talent, with a focus on Latin youth.
Garcia currently sits on the boards of the Vecinos Collective, the Comité Cívico Cultural Boliviano de NY, and Vision de Ayuda, organizations that support her passion for unifying and uplifting New York’s Latin community.
