With over 40 years of experience in operational, strategic, and management roles within multi-faceted healthcare systems, Mr. Sánchez has consistently demonstrated exemplary leadership. As the only first Latino CEO of a hospital in Chicago, his achievements have significantly impacted the healthcare landscape in the city and beyond.
Throughout his tenure at HPH, Mr. Sánchez has led the organization with remarkable success. Under his guidance, the hospital has maintained financial stability and continuous growth. Beyond financial accomplishments, HPH has consistently surpassed quality, safety, and patient satisfaction benchmarks.

HPH underwent a significant $7 million renovation in June 2020. Completing this project resulted in an enhanced experience for patients, visitors, and employees, creating a vibrant and welcoming environment within the hospital. Furthermore, under Mr. Sanchez’s guidance, HPH is building the first 45,000-square-foot Wellness Center in the heart of Humboldt Park. A hub center for health and wellness for the community.
