Chicago.- Lucino Sotelo, a distinguished leader and special advisor to the President of Northern Trust Wealth Management, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees at DePaul University. With a proven track record in marketing, digital strategies, eCommerce, data analysis, and customer experience excellence, Sotelo brings invaluable expertise to drive integrated commercial success within the organization.
Committed to community service and promoting educational equity, Sotelo’s dedication extends beyond his professional endeavors. He serves on the board of Leadership of Greater Chicago and has previously held roles with the Chicago Board of Education, as well as commissioner positions for the Public Building Commission and Chicago Planning Commission.
Sotelo’s exceptional contributions have earned him recognition nationally, including being a two-time recipient of the prestigious HITEC 100 Award, honoring top Hispanic leaders in technology. Additionally, he has been acknowledged as one of the country’s Top Latino Leaders by the National Diversity Council and named one of the Top Ten Líderes by Hispanic Executive Magazine.
Residing in Chicago with his wife Maria, Sotelo is deeply involved in his community, coaching his son’s baseball team and enjoying rounds of golf with his daughter.
Sotelo holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from DePaul University.
