Christiamilda Correa is an award-winning community leader, event marketer, and entertainment professional who is passionate about improving racial equity social and economic mobility for all.

She is the inaugural president of NYU Latinx Alumni Network and has been instrumental in the group’s success, including being named two-time recipient of the NYU Alumni Association Innovation of the Year Award. Starting in September 2023, she will join the board of directors of the NYU Alumni Association, representing over 600,000 alumni globally. She is also board president of LiberArte (a U.S. nonprofit with a mission to build racial, social, and climate justice worldwide), junior board member of Teatro SEA (bilingual arts-in-education and Latin children’s theater in the United States), co-founder of The Movement Theatre Company (develops new works by artists of color), and director of development and communications at Reel Works (training the next generation of diverse film and media professionals).

Her most recent project is serving as the creative producer of the Level Up in the Workplace: Dress Your Best (For Less) series, which brings affordable fashion and professional development to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month and celebrate New York Fashion Week.

In addition to her work in the community, Correa has performed at The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s World Culture Festival: Journeys and voiced Spanish narration for children’s audiobooks with You Tell Me Stories Foundation.

Correa is a first-generation Boricua and a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a bachelor’s degree in drama.
