Nieves is currently the project engineer/superintendent on an interior fit-out project for Brown Rudnick LLP in the Times Square district to upgrade its existing tenant-occupied space and build a new amenities area for their employees. Starting in 2018 he took an interest in Turner Construction’s employee resource group, Cada Comunidad, and has been on the board of directors since then. Since joining, he has facilitated the platform’s continued growth and its internal and external expansion. Cada Comunidad continues to reinforce Turner’s multicultural workplace through emphasis on genuine conversations, intentionality, community, awareness, and advocacy. Nieves has helped lead the board in executing more than 15 initiatives in 2022, and eight initiatives in 2023.

Words of Wisdom: “Life without purpose is without meaning. We should always look beyond ourselves and understand the needs of people and communities around us. It is our responsibility to employ a higher level of understanding, acceptance, and empathy. The future and the success our people depend on it.”
