Ashley Aydin is a principal at VamosVentures, where she invests in diverse founding teams and mission-oriented companies in health and wellness, fintech, sustainability, and the future of work. She started her career at Morgan Stanley in capital markets and moved into strategic roles at Y Combinator startup Shoptiques.com, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Estee Lauder, focused on the intersection of consumers and technology. She was previously an investor at Brand Foundry Ventures, Founders Factory, and Dorm Room Fund.

Aydin has been frequently recognized as someone who actively invests in and supports diverse founders, challenges the status quo within venture capital, and focuses on shifting the distribution of wealth and opportunity for all founders of color. She has been named an NYC FinTech Women Inspiring Money Mover (2022), Alpha Partners VC Rising Star (2022), and NextGen’s VC Rising Star (2022).

She holds a bachelor’s degree from Brown University and an MBA from MIT Sloan. She is a proud first-generation college student and the daughter of a Puerto Rican mother and a Turkish immigrant father. She is a native New Yorker, born and raised in Staten Island.
