Victor Prado is a professional studio photographer and director based in New York City. He has a diverse background of influences having grown up in Mexico City, Spain, Argentina, and the US. His interest in photography began in high school, and after graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he majored in visual media, he moved to New York City in 2012.
He joined New York Magazine as their sole in-house photographer soon after, where he developed his studio work further. He launched his freelance photography career after, where he worked with editorial clients from GQ to New York Times Magazine. In addition, he expanded into advertising work, working with brands such as L’Oreal, Estée Lauder, Olay, SkinCeuticals and Shiseido, among many others.
Drawing inspiration from art, design, and architecture in his work, clients and brands are drawn to his aesthetic and lighting expertise. He is passionate about continuously learning and experimenting with new techniques in his work. Based out of his studio in Midtown Manhattan, he uses state-of-the-art photography and robotic video technology to create relevant and unique work for brands.
