CHICAGO, IL – Sinai Chicago announced that Ms. Iliana A. Mora will be joining the system as its new Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer starting on June 1st. Mora comes to Sinai Chicago with over 20 years of experience in complex integrated health systems and community health organizations, most recently with Cook County Health System.
In her new role, zl and ambulatory care, clinical and administrative functions, quality and patient experience, population health and managed care and service line optimization and growth.

Previously, Mora was the Chief Administrative Officer for Service Lines, as well as the Chief Operating Officer for Ambulatory Services for Cook County Health System. While at Cook County Health, Mora launched The Change Institute in the areas of cardiology, neurosciences and cancer and led transformational initiatives that markedly improved operational efficiencies, quality and patient and employee engagement. Mora also led major initiatives including the launch and operation of COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Centers across Cook County. Prior to that, she spent 14 years at Erie Family Health in Chicago, initially as the Manager of Community Relations and Planning and finally as Chief Operating Officer.
Mora is known for her compassionate leadership, operational prowess and relentless pursuit to improve the healthcare safety net for socio-economically disadvantaged communities.

Mora graduated Magna Cum Laude from The George Washington University and received her Master of Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois, as well as a certificate from the Executive Health Care Program at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Over the course of her career, Mora has been honored with the World AIDS Day Community Service Award, the NFL Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award and the Chicago Healthcare Executives Forum Service Excellence Award. She was named a 2014 Honoree for Who’s Who in Chicago Hispanic Business and Crain’s Chicago Business 40 Under 40 in 2013. She is a 2022 Fellow of America’s Essential Hospitals and a 2008 Fellow of Leadership Greater Chicago. She is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago, the Ravinia Festival Board of Trustees, Teatro Vista Board of Directors and an Executive Board Member for West Side United.
