Name of Organization: Teladoc Health Inc.

Nancy Cambron Perez works for Teladoc Health, the world’s only integrated virtual care system for delivering, enabling and empowering whole-person health—from wellness and prevention to acute care to complex healthcare needs.

Her mother always said, “You come from a familia de obreros,” and that is the mentality Cambron Perez uses to guide her work ethic, goals, and everything else.

Cambron Perez is a scholar-practitioner, human resources thought leader, and champion of diversity, equity, and inclusion with more than nine years of experience. Her drive is fueled by creating diversity recruitment and retention strategies, partnering with talent acquisition and learning and development teams, and reimagining the employee experience.

At Teladoc Health, her focus includes designing and refreshing the business resource groups operating model and framework to support a culture of inclusion and belonging, attracting talent, and helping cultivate courageous, socially responsible, and empathetic employees. She specializes in recruiting high-impact diverse professionals from Fortune 100 companies and guides them in picking the best professional development opportunities for their career goals.

In her past roles, she has successfully planned and executed over 3,000 events for higher education institutions, healthcare and tech sectors, and the Chicagoland community. Working inside a wide range of departments, such as federal TRIO programs and graduate admissions teams, has given her a holistic understanding of underserved faculty, student, and employee engagement and advancement.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and Latinx studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in higher education from Loyola University Chicago. She has completed the SHRM Essentials of HR Management and applied program management certificates from Northwestern University School of Professional Studies and the mastering sales certificate program from the Kellogg School of Management Executive Education.   She recently graduated from the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement Emerging Leaders Program and was selected to be a part of the Kinnevik Young Talent Program with 50 other young talents from 26 different tech companies based in 8 countries.

Cambron Perez grew up on the Northwest side of Chicago. She is one of three siblings and when she’s not in her office she is making conchas in her family’s business, Panaderia Taximaroa, a Mexican bakery that has been in the Chicagoland area for over 25 years.

WORDS OF WISDOM: My mother always said, you come from a familia de obreros and that is the mentally I use to guide my work ethic, goals, and everything I hope to do.
