Monterrey Security Consultants, Inc., a Chicago firm based in Pilsen, hit a Grand Slam by reaching an agreement with the Chicago Cubs to provide security services at Wrigley Field.

“We are very excited and proud of our partnership with the Chicago Cubs, and now we are moving forward”, CEO Monterrey Security, Juan Gaytan said.

Founded in 1999 by Gaytan, a former Chicago Police Officer, Monterrey Security is charged with guarding the Bear’s Soldier Field and Toyota Park, home of the Chicago Fire, amongst other facilities in the City.

Monterrey is the first Hispanic company to simultaneously hold agreements with the MLB, NFL and the MLS in Chicago.

“I never imaged that I would have this opportunity, it’s encouraging us to look for other opportunities, not only in Chicago, but also in other states.”

The company, that employs 300 full time workers and some 2000 part time employees, has been growing in the past years and registered sales of $24 million in 2014.

Other Monterrey clients include the Lincoln Park Zoo, Walmart, Wintrust Bank and the Shed Aquarium. They also provide security for many events such as the Chicago Marathon.
