Daniel, age 29, is the Founder and Managing Attorney at The Attorneys at Walczak Hernandez, P.C.
As an advocate and legal counsel, Daniel assists families in transition through family court proceedings. He is regularly appointed by Circuit Court judges to advocate on behalf of children as Guardian Ad Litem and Child Representative. Daniel also advocates on behalf of victims of domestic violence and assists homebuyers and sellers through real estate transactions.
In addition to his legal practice, Daniel serves as the Chair of the LGBT 6 Committee at the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois where he leads the efforts on behalf of the LGBT Latino Lawyers to participate in the Aurora Pride Parade. Daniel also serves as the Communications Chair of the LGBT Division at the Hispanic National Bar Association.
Daniel received his Bachelor of Health Services Administration from Florida International University in Miami, FL and his Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School. He is a member of the American Bar Association and serves as Vice-Chair on the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Committee of the Young Lawyers Division. He is also a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association where he serves as the Communications Chair of the LGBT Division.
In 2018, he Co-Chaired the HNBA LGBT Division’s Annual LGBT Summit, bringing together panelist from across the nation to discuss issues affecting the LGBT Community. Daniel has appeared on panels for NBCUniversal, Comcast, and Northwestern University.
Daniel is a Board Member at Between Friends, a Chicago nonprofit agency that provides free social services to victims of Domestic Violence.
In his spare time, Daniel volunteers for Gigi’s Playhouse and Between Friends, a nonprofit committed to ending domestic violence. He also enjoys spending time with family, boxing, and participating in intramural sports.
