Negocios Now is excited to announce Jose Luis Prado, former President of Quaket Oats North America at Pepsico and CEO of Evans Food, will be the keynote speaker for the 2016 Who’s Who in Hispanic Chicago gala, to be held July 8 at the Chicago Cultural Center.
Prado is a distinguished member of the Chicago Latino community, taking on the role of CEO at Evans Food this spring after 30 years in the global snacks industry with PepsiCo, most recently as president of Quaker Oats North America. Prado was the first Mexican-American to lead a major PepsiCo division in North America and, in this position, he oversaw a $4 billion business with more than 10,000 employees, turning Quaker Oats into the fastest-growing, most profitable, most innovative and most trusted brand in CPG food companies.
As the president and CEO of Gamesa Quaker Mexico, Prado led an increase in sales from $900 million to $1.5 billion and an increase in market share from 50% to 55%. He also led the creation of a new line of Quaker cookies and bars that became larger than oatmeal in just three years, getting rolled out in 25 countries.
Prado took over the helm of Evans Foods, the world’s leading supplier of pork rinds, in April 2016 through a partnership with private equity firm Wind Point Partners, which acquired the business from another Who’s Who notable, Alejandro Silva.
