Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater, one of the most  prestigious Spanish Dance companies in the US, announced that they will perform during Negocios Now’s Who’s Who in Hispanic Chicago Gala Event at the Chicago Cultural Center on July 8.

The Flamenco Passion   presentation will take place on the company’s 40th anniversary, especially noteworthy because Ensemble Español was the first Spanish Dance company in the US to have received residence status at a university, Northeastern Illinois University. The company has received numerous awards and accolades, including recognition from the King of Spain, Juan Carlos I and President Barack Obama.

Jorge Perez, Executive Director, said that the company is pleased to participate in  Negocios Now’s Gala Event, recognizing Hispanic Leadership in the Chicago area.

“As a national award-winning publication, serving Chicago’s Hispanic business community since 2007, Negocios Now serves as an ambassador and great supporter of arts, educational organizations and businesses, such as Ensemble Español,” Perez said.

During the Event, Negocios Now will present a Special Edition “Who’s Who in Hispanic Chicago” with more than 150 Hispanic leaders profiled. As Perez started with Ensemble Español in 1984, during his early college days.  Now, Perez leads this renowned arts organization that serves the city’s artists, students, and audiences.

“It is truly an honor to be recognized in Negocios Now’s 2016 Who’s Who in Hispanic Chicago. Currently, our company reaches over 50,000 audience members and over 26,000 students annually. Supporting arts organizations is one of the best ways that a business can support its community.”
