Diego Ferrer is passionate about helping the Hispanic community by doing what he does best: technology. In 2008 he started Orinoco Systems LLC, a software development firm that helps build value for its large- and medium-sized clients. Diego has a profound commitment to community service.
In addition to employing dozens of talented professionals from the Hispanic community, he actively helps promote educational opportunities for underprivileged minorities. He has served on the board of Youth Guidance, a mentoring organization, as well as the Camerata Chicago chamber orchestra.
He has been a member of Chicago United and served on the board for the Association of Latino Information Technology Professionals. Diego also has been a great friend to this publication, donating both his time and resources. To recognize his support for us and others in the Hispanic community, Negocios Now is proud to present him El Amigo de Negocios Now Award at the Chicago Cultural Center Gala Event, on June 20.
