During a career of more than 25 years in asset management and finance, David Ortiz maintained a strong connection to the Latino community. In 2009, he founded Beacon Ridge Capital Management, a certified, minority-owned investment firm and registered investment advisor. As a minority entrepreneur, Ortiz understood firsthand the inequity in how credit is distributed in the economy and the difficulty minority groups face in accessing capital.
Since 2014, he has been at BMO Financial Corp. In his current role as a credit executive for enterprise risk and portfolio management, he leads a team of credit officers for commercial credit transactions with a focus on smaller middle market borrowers.
