David A. Aviles

David A. Aviles is a Bronx-born, New York native who spent over 15 years of his professional career serving the public, leading teams, transforming organizations, and impacting communities throughout New York City. He serves as the Senior Manager of Career Success at The Knowledge House, a Bronx-based social change organization that empowers and sustains a talent pipeline of technologists, entrepreneurs, and digital leaders.

His prior experience as an executive leader with Equus Workforce Solutions, paired with his passion for public service, has garnered public recognition from the New York State Assembly, the Office of the Bronx Borough President, the NYC Mayor’s Office, Crain’s New York Notable Leaders, and as a Bronx A-List honoree, for his commitment to connecting thousands of qualified candidates from all communities to career opportunities across the five boroughs of New York City. David is a consummate professional experienced in the non-profit and for-profit sectors, currently serving as a member of the board at Northern Manhattan Community Improvement Corporation (NMIC) and Ithaca College.

David also led the top-performing workforce development program operating within the New York City Department of Education Public School System (NYCDOE) in conjunction with the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) that empowered at-risk young adults ages 16-21 through education, life and employment skills training, coaching, character building, mentorship, and the cultivation of strategic corporate and nonprofit partnerships across the New York City area. Prior to David’s experience in workforce development, education, and community-based services, he successfully led and managed multi-million-dollar corporate storefront operations. In 2017, he founded Career Ready Resume, a career consulting firm providing job seekers, career changers, students, and recent graduates with professional self-marketing tools and additional services to assist with job and career advancement. Career Ready Resume proudly serves all communities across the New York area and beyond.

David holds a Master’s in Management, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and an Associate’s in Information Technology. David is also a Master Certified Coach and holds certificates in advanced management, non-profit leadership, and adult education. He is also a writer with current projects focusing on youth and career development.

David serves as a champion for under-served populations and disconnected youths, and a voice for his constituents who have faced similar hardships, barriers, and life experiences. David owes his successes to the values and support afforded to him as a child and throughout his life by his mother.
