Paul Presendieu is the multilingual son of Colombian and Haitian immigrants and the current director of community engagement for Soulful Synergy, a sustainability consultancy dedicated to promoting green jobs training in clean technology for decarbonizing residential and commercial properties. His company has already trained over 6,000 students and is in the second year of funding from the United States Department of Energy to support President Joe Biden’s Justice 40 Agenda by creating green-collar workers in environmental justice communities.

Presendieu is the current environmental advisory committee chairman for the city of New Rochelle, for New York’s municipal government, and the board secretary for the New York State Association of Conservation Commissions. Presendieu participated in the United Nations inaugural Youth Climate Summit of 2019 and was a 2020 delegate to the United Nations 75th Youth Plenary and ECOSOC Youth Forum. Presendieu is also the first New York state resident elected to the executive committee of the Democratic National Committee’s Council on the Environment and Climate Crisis and the national co-chair of the GreenLatinos Climate Justice and Clean Air Working Group.

During Earth Week this year, Presendieu received an invitation to join Vice President Kamala Harris at her private residence in Washington, D.C, on April 20 when she convened environmental justice leaders to discuss needed multilateral partnerships at all levels of government.
