Meet Claudia Badillo – Latinos 40 Under 40 Class of 2018

#3 – Claudia Badillo

Raising the bar as Chicago’s best Spanish-speaking bankruptcy attorney

Consumer bankruptcy attorney and owner of Badillo Law Group, Claudia Farfan Badillo, P.C., was born and raised in Chicago, to parents of Mexican and Colombian descent.

Claudia is a graduate of Chicago Kent College of Law where she clerked for the Cook County Public Defender’s office in the Felony Trial Unit. She attended Northwestern University and also hosted a Spanish rock radio show while at Northwestern, on WNUR 89.3 FM, called “Sabor Latino”.

With over 10 years of experience helping clients file for bankruptcy protection under federal laws, Claudia’s main focus is representing consumers in all aspects of bankruptcy cases.  She also offers debt negotiations and tax settlements with the IRS. More recently, Claudia served as a Hearing Officer with the City of Chicago’s Board of Elections, in preparation for this year, 2019’s city elections.

Claudia is the current president of the Puerto Rican Bar Association of Illinois, an active member of HLAI, HNBA, NACBA, ISBA and a contributing fitness writer at the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin.  In her spare time, Claudia likes to run, play volleyball and take ballet classes. She is also a proud lifelong Chicagoan and is active in her children’s PTA and LSC groups.
