Korina Sanchez is a second-generation Mexican-American business leader and seasoned entrepreneur with experience as a corporate and regulatory attorney. 

 Mrs. Sanchez is Vice President and General Counsel of Third Coast Hospitality. She plays a pivotal role in managing the Chicago-based restaurant group. Her leadership encompasses a diverse portfolio of popular establishments, including Moe’s Cantina, Old Crow Smokehouse, Treehouse Chicago, Tunnel, and La Luna. Beyond legal purview, Korina oversees all facets of the business including daily operations and business development and expansion. 

 Mrs. Sanchez is also a founder of Great Lakes Solex, “SolX,” a groundbreaking minority-owned and operated manufacturing company founded in 2024. SolX is dedicated to developing a state-of-the-art, 1-gigawatt solar panel manufacturing plant. Mrs. Sanchez is spearheading SolX’s corporate structuring, compliance, and investor relations through SolX’s pre-capitalization phase and serves on the company’s board of directors, guiding the company’s trajectory. 

 Korina serves on the boards of the Illinois Restaurant Association and the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and is the board president of Latinos Progresando.

 She has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois. 

Korina is happily married to Patrick Wartan, Partner and Chair of the Food and Beverage Group at Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP, and they are expecting their first daughter this August.
