UNO Names New Chief of Staff

UNO is pleased to announce Ms. Solskin Gómez-Krogh as UNO’s new Chief of Staff. Ms. Gómez-Krogh is a results focused leader with more than 14 years’ experience in leadership, relationship and program development as well as conflict management, among others. She is part of UNO’s restructuring and fits in with the organization’s continued growth strategy.

Gómez-Krogh will be responsible for assisting the CEO in executing a strategic plan to ensure the success of UNO and its subsidiary organizations. In this leadership role, she will provide oversight to staff, interface with stakeholder groups and facilitate cross-departmental dialogue and collaboration.

Prior to joining UNO, Ms. Gómez-Krogh was an Executive Director at ALPFA, a national professional association focused on empowering Latinos and expanding opportunities for Latino leadership in the global market. As Executive Director of the Chicago Chapter, she led the operations, events and activities of the Chicago Chapter; managed relationships with nearly 100 major corporate partners and organizations; and consulted on strategies in talent management, talent development and recruitment and retention.

Ms. Gómez-Krogh’s passion for building mission driven inclusive organizations lead her to chair the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association Diversity Council and committee co-lead of the Blues Diversity Alliance, project director for the Global Diversity Solutions Group and key contributor to several multicultural professional associations. She earned an MBA in International Business Management from DePaul University and was named one of the 2011 Top 100 Under 50 Emerging Leaders by Diversity MBA Magazine. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology and International Studies with a focus on Latin America from Iowa State University
