Milwaukee.- (HINA) Nelson Soler, Chief Solutions Officer of the Multicultural Entrepreneurial Institute, receives the 2018 Community Business Development Award presented by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
This award recognizes, Nelson for his many years of serving Minority Businesses Enterprises in Wisconsin by developing innovative programs to help entrepreneurs start and grow businesses. “Because of your dedication, thousands of individuals have been able to learn important business skills in accounting, marketing and small business management”, states the written announcement issued by Barb LaMue, VP of Business and Community Development.
“I am humbled by the recognition, it is great to realize my entrepreneurial dream by helping others realize their dreams. This can only be accomplished with a great working team of individuals and the support of collaborators and strategic allies that share our vision with whom I share this recognition”, states, Nelson Soler.
The Community Business Development Award will be presented at MARKETPLACE 2018, to be held at the Potawatomi Hotel and Conference Center in Milwaukee Community Business Awards Breakfast will take place on Thursday, December 13th starting at 7:30 a.m.
Nelson Soler founded MEI the 13th of December on 2006 out of his basement, thus this award will be granted on the Institute anniversary. This is the 8th Award he receives since its inception. MEI has assisted over 3800 entrepreneurs to realize their business ownership or development dreams in SE Wisconsin. Currently, the Institute serves an average of 450 individuals per year through culturally relevant training, taxation services and marketing. The institute is Milwaukee-based and employs four individuals.
