Rosa Botello is responsible for developing the strategic direction of her company’s Global Supplier Diversity program. Under her leadership, Motorola has strategically grown its diversity spend, resulting in an economic impact of over $1 billion in revenue generation and over 10,000 jobs retained or created in the U.S.

Rosa is an accomplished change agent with over 15 years of experience in developing and successfully leading enterprise-wide strategies focused on competitive advantage, corporate responsibility and diversity, equity and inclusion. Her career has spanned across industries and multinational organizations such as the McDonald’s Corporation, The Nielsen Media Company and Motorola Solutions. 

As a first-generation college grad and professional, Rosa is passionate about increasing the number of women and people of color in the high tech space. She works diligently to create equal access and opportunities for diverse-owned businesses and students through strategic investments and partnerships. She is also the Global Co-Lead of the LatinX ERG and Global Communications Lead of the Women’s ERG. 

Outside of Motorola, she also serves as President and Chair of tech:SCALE, mentor and Emerge Lab sponsor for Chicago Scholars, DEI Committee Advisor with the Chicago Chamber of Commerce, a mentor with the Illinois Science and Technology Coalition, and Entrepreneurship Program Advisor for Chi Tech Academy. 

Rosa earned her bachelor’s degree in communication and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She lives in Villa Park, IL with her husband and dog.
