With extensive experience structuring government-guaranteed financing, Ricardo specializes in SBA 7(a) and 504 loan programs, guiding clients through every phase of the lending process—from eligibility assessment and underwriting to closing and post-funding support.

Ricardo’s journey began at DeVry University where his education laid the foundation for his business and financial expertise. As the first member of his family to graduate from college, he demonstrated early determination and commitment to professional growth.

Shortly after graduation, Ricardo began his banking career at the age of 20 as a teller at his local bank. His ability to effectively serve both the local community and the Latino community helped accelerate his advancement within the organization.

By age 25, he transitioned into business lending, where he discovered his passion for helping entrepreneurs grow and scale their companies. He further specialized in SBA lending, which remains his primary focus today.

At Wintrust Bank, Ricardo plays a central role in supporting small business growth and community development through strategic SBA Lending. Under his leadership he consistently originates over $20 Million annually in SBA guaranteed loans, enabling business acquisitions, commercial real estate purchases, equipment financing, debt refinancing, and working capital solutions that drive local economic impact.

Ricardo is passionate about supporting local small business development and fostering long-term client relationships built on trust and performance. He views each loan as more than a transaction—it is an investment in a business owner’s vision, employees, and community. Outside of his professional work, Ricardo values time with his wife Ana, and their two children, Ricky and Leanna. They enjoy traveling and participating in activities that reflect his commitment to balance, growth, and long-term success.
