Bio: Chicago native Vanessa Hall manages media relations for Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas. In this role, she oversees public relations, serves as the primary company spokesperson and manages crisis communications and social media. Hall also led the coordination efforts to open the company’s $20 million training center in Little Village.

Previously, she was a consultant at Oak Street Health, where she played an integral role in opening 15 clinics nationally. Hall also was a senior manager of corporate communications at BMO Harris Bank, where she oversaw communications and public relations for retail banking and small businesses in Illinois and Wisconsin. She served as an assistant press secretary for the City of Chicago under Mayors Richard M. Daley and Rahm Emanuel.

Hall also is an entrepreneur. In 2013, she founded her own PR and marketing firm, Hall Consulting, which managed projects for Latino Fashion Week, Chicago Fashion Fest, Jus Juus and Oak Street Health.

She began her career in 2003 as a segment producer for Telemundo Chicago, where she earned three Emmy nominations. She later became a talk show producer for NBC’s In the Loop with iVillage.

Hall holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Columbia College. She serves on the Board of Directors at the Rauner Family YMCA and is a member of several committees and business resource groups, including the Illinois Utilities Business Diversity Council, Women’s Development Network and Listo!+ (Latino-Inspired Support for Talent and Outreach).
