Bio:If you had told a young Sinhue Mendoza that by the age of 32 he would have already worked at Wrigley Field, travelled and worked closely with the United States National Soccer Teams, worked with Major League Baseball and managed media operations for Notre Dame Football Stadium, the sports-obsessed kid would’ve told you that’s my ‘American Dream’.
Sinhue Mendoza is a consultant specializing in sports, media relations, marketing and broadcasting.
Sinhue currently works with Major League Baseball on its Spanish social media platforms as part of the League’s Latin American strategy. He is also a media and broadcast consultant for high-profile sporting events including the 2017 International Champions Cup (ICC). The ICC is the premier international tournament comprised of the top-flight European soccer clubs competing in the United States during their official preseason.
Prior to consulting, Sinhue worked for the University of Notre Dame with Fighting Irish Media. At Notre Dame he directed the successful grand opening of the new football press box during the 2016 season. He also worked for U.S. Soccer Federation’s media relations team from 2012-16, where he managed all global media and broadcast communications operations for the Men’s and Women’s National Teams. As well as working in sports, he has been an electoral campaign organizer for the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights and the successful 2010 reelection campaign of State Representative Sara Feigenholtz.
He is an alumnus of the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University. He is also a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists where he served on the Chicago chapter board. He also served on the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement’s Young Professionals Board as Vice Chair.
A proud son of the Chicagoland area, his is a connoisseur of random Chicago facts and history. He resides in Lincoln Square with his girlfriend and mini dachshund Louis.
