Bio: Whether engaging with customers, employees or the community, Robert Pantoja applies a human touch that leaves a lasting impression. Born and raised Humboldt Park — the heart of Chicago’s Puerto Rican community — Pantoja understands the importance of community, culture and being involved in programs that contribute to the development and progress of the Latino community.

Pantoja has been an exemplary leader at BMO Financial Group for over a decade, starting as a bank manager and progressing to his current role as Vice President, Customer Segment Strategy Program Manager. He is committed to making BMO an inclusive company that provides great service to its diverse customer base.

In 2014, he became the Latino Banking Program Manager, a role in which he partnered with numerous Latino community organizations and leaders across Wisconsin, Arizona and the Chicago area to provide financial education programs to Latino community members and business owners. He was recognized with a BMO Award of Excellence for this work.

He is also a member of BMO Harris Latino Alliance, which empowers and develops Latino professionals within the organization. As part of the group, he has coordinated events that drive engagement and celebrate Hispanic heritage.

Pantoja is a long-time supporter of the arts. For four years, he has served as a board trustee for the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance, which is dedicated to preserving Puerto Rican culture by providing educational opportunities in arts programming and cultivating pride in Puerto Rican heritage.
