Bio: Juana Sánchez Graber serves as the Associate Director of Hispanic Outreach and Enrollment Marketing Manager for the Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic Schools. The Archdiocese’s 217 schools comprise the largest U.S. private school system. Sánchez Graber leads efforts to promote the value and accessibility of a Catholic school education and improve educational opportunities for Hispanic students. During her tenure, the Archdiocese’s Hispanic student population has grown by 12 percent. Previously, she worked to advance the mission of the Catholic School Advantage campaign at the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education.
Sánchez Graber is a graduate of the University of Chicago, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in public policy studies. Upon graduation, she became the first Corporate Social Responsibility Supervisor at the McDonald’s Corporation, advancing the company’s efforts to make quality food and more responsible sourcing choices. She later joined Ronald McDonald House Charities, where she managed local chapters to improve the health and well-being for thousands of children.
A lifelong Chicagoan and the eldest daughter of Mexican immigrants, Sánchez Graber is a strong believer in empowering women and being deeply engaged in the community. She recently completed Mujeres de HACE and is a member of the Maroon Loyalty Society, supporting her alma mater to pursue cutting-edge research, provide opportunities for outstanding students and hire distinguished faculty. She is a proud member of the university’s Latinx Alumni Network and Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority. She lives with her husband and two children on the South Side of Chicago.
