Bio: There are five words you can count on from Erika Quezada-Sanchez: love, integrity, commitment, passion and gratitude. Her desire to leave this world a little better has led her on a journey of self-discovery. Born in Mexico, Quezada-Sanchez arrived in the United States with her parents at the young age of 13.

Quezada-Sanchez is an Eating Psychology and Mind Nutrition Practitioner and a Certified Life and Wellness Coach. She founded and runs Lotus Life & Wellness Coaching and has served as a facilitator for “Mujer a Mujer” (Woman to Woman) and a presenter at “The Phoenix Program.” She is also a co-author of the forthcoming book Today’s Inspired Latina Volume IV.

Quezada-Sanchez sits on the board of the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Lake County, where she provides direct assistance, advocacy, education and support to members of the Spanish-speaking community who are affected by mental illness. As an advisor to and former member of the Catholic Dreamers Ministry, Quezada-Sanchez informs, guides and supports young immigrants and their families to accomplish their goals regardless of their status, and works with them to advocate for legislation that reflects family values, justice and compassion.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with high honors from Northern Illinois University. Quezada-Sanchez lives in Chicago and enjoys spending time with family and friends, a great music playlist, practicing yoga and seeking adventure in the outdoors.
