 Building a Latina HR Network

Age: 36

Based out of Chicago and Miami, Priscilla Guasso thrives in leading human resource teams focused on all areas of the employee life cycle: talent acquisition, mobility, talent development, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, global diversity, equity and inclusion, and overall company culture.

Her fifteen years of experience spans HR in the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean in the hospitality and healthcare industry. She thoroughly enjoys coaching others to invest in themselves and further grow their leadership skills in corporate, nonprofit, and government sectors. As the author of Latinas Rising Up In HR, she is focused on building a community of Latinas In HR that openly shares connections, best practices and experiences while also giving back to our youth.

Priscilla holds a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from the University of Illinois – Urbana/Champaign.

Outside of work she is an active board member and secretary for HACE’s Mujeres de HACE Chicago, membership director of the Latino/Latina Alumni Association for the University of Illinois, an inspiration agent for Young Latina Day, a member of the HRHotspot, Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), the National Hispanic Corporate Council (NHCC) and The Latinista. She enjoys traveling to new cities with her husband, Jorge, and soaking up the sun in warmer climates.

Words of wisdom: “Take chances, boldly invest in yourself, and give yourself permission to pause.”
