Peoples Gas has been added to the list of sponsors for the upcoming edition of Negocios Now, which focuses on what Hispanic businesses need to survive the impact of the pandemic.
The edition, which will come out on Aug. 28, will also be supported by Wintrust, the Officer of Illinois State Treasurer, BMO Harris Bank, ComEd, and Remy Martin.
“We are pleased by the continued support of Peoples Gas for Negocios Now and by its commitment to the small business community,” said Publisher Clemente Nicado.
Peoples Gas was also a sponsor of the publication’s Who’s Who in Hispanic Chicago Special Edition.
The coming edition will feature different businesses that are struggling in this critical time against restrictions due to the pandemic.
“We do know that many small businesses have to close permanently. Others are forced to close in the short term. With this edition, Negocios Now is spreading the stories of those businesses that can be saved if they have help from the government, private institutions, and our community,” said Nicado.
For this edition, Negocios Now has an exclusive interview with Michael Negron, acting director of the Department of Commerce and Economic and Opportunities (DCEO), and Edith de La Cruz, owner of a construction company.
Negocios Now distributes 10,000 copies directly to subscribers or as a courtesy to Hispanic businesses and professionals. It reaches thousands more through its digital platform with more than 35,000 followers on social media, making it the leading Hispanic business publication.
