Nicolás López is a 24-year-old Uruguayan four-time founder and CPO of Horizon AI, a San Francisco-based company helping Fortune 100 organizations accelerate their AI transformation 90 times faster than traditional consulting.

Nicolás started founding companies at 18. First came OneSearch UY, a compliance platform for legal professionals in Uruguay. Then RPAMAKER. Then Promtior, one of the first generative AI consulting firms in Latin America. By the time most people his age were finishing college, he already had three companies under his belt. In early 2024, he launched Horizon with Nicolás Scopesi and Miguel Langone.

Horizon’s AI platform interviews employees across entire organizations at scale, maps how work actually flows, and surfaces the inefficiencies that cost companies the most. What used to take consulting firms months, Horizon does in days. In 2025, the company grew revenue sixfold. Its AI has conducted over 20,000 employee interviews and identified more than 5,000 improvement opportunities for clients in banking, insurance, and financial services across Latin America and the United States.

Horizon closed a $3.5M seed round led by NXTP Ventures, with participation from Jeff Lawson, founder of Twilio, among other global investors. The company was selected for the AWS Generative AI Accelerator, one of 80 startups chosen from thousands worldwide and the only Uruguayan company, receiving up to $1M in AWS credits. It was also the first Uruguayan startup selected by Platanus Ventures out of over 1,500 Latin American companies, and was recognized by Microsoft as one of the most impactful AI startups in the region.

Outside of Horizon, Nicolás organizes Uruguay’s AI community, mentors entrepreneurs regularly, and serves on the board of AJE Uruguay, the country’s young entrepreneurs association. He participated in Endeavor Uruguay’s ScaleUp program and has been featured in Forbes Uruguay.
