Negocios Now is calling for nominations for the 2016 Latinos 40 Under 40 to recognize and celebrate the leadership of a new generation in the Chicago metropolitan area.
As last year, the special edition will be published exclusively in digital format and will come out by December 15. Community members can nominate the 40 Latino leaders through the negociosnow.com/40under40 website.
The deadline for nominations is November 15, 2015. Those selected will represent a group of 40 outstanding Chicagoans under the age of 40. The honorees could represent business, government, nonprofits, politics, sports, and education fields, among others.
“Celebrating the first Latinos 40 Under 40 in the city last year was not only really exciting, but it also demonstrated that the new Latino generation needs more recognition for everything they are doing in our communities and for this country,” said Clemente Nicado, publisher of Negocios Now.
“We are looking forward to gathering them in a single edition and celebrating a new legion of Latinos who, with their talent and hard work, are making the difference that we need to move forward as a community and a country,” he said.
To celebrate the achievements of this younger generation of Latinos, Negocios Now will organize another presentation and networking event at the end of February.
“With a focus on a generation that loves to share stories and information, the initiative had a tremendous impact on Negocios Now’s social media pages, garnering more than 150,000 views in four months,” Nicado said.
