Negocios Now Brings “Latinos 40 Under 40” to New York City

New York – (HINA) Today Negocios Now has officially launched the first annual “Latinos 40 under 40” in New York City. Nominations are now open for the event, created to recognize and celebrate the leadership of a new generation of Hispanic Leaders in the New York Metropolitan Area.

Those selected will represent a group of 40 outstanding New Yorkers under the age of 40 in business, government, nonprofit, politics, sports, education and numerous other fields.

To celebrate the achievements of this up-and-coming generation of Latinos, Negocios Now will organize a presentation and networking event on November 7, 2019, in addition to publishing nominees in the 40 Under 40 Special Edition, exclusively in digital format.

Community members can nominate the 40 Latino leaders through the nomination form available at NegociosNow.com/ny4040.The deadline for nominations is September 1st, 2019. Nicado Publishing Company will inform selected candidates by September 30th, 2019.

Sponsored by Remy Martin,  it will be Negocios Now’s first “Latinos 40 Under 40” outside of Chicago since its creation in 2015.

Negocios Now is partnering with several prominent New York City organizations for the event and special edition, such as the Association of Latino Professionals for America, the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement and a Hispanic chamber of commerce.

In 2014, Negocios Now launched the first “Who’s Who in Hispanic Chicago” to recognize Hispanic leadership in the Chicago metropolitan area, followed by the first “Latinos: 40 Under 40”  in 2015. Since 2010, Negocios Now has received more than 12 awards from the National Association of Hispanic Publications (NAHP), and a Peter Lisagor Award for General Excellence in 2012.

Clemente Nicado, the founder of Negocios Now, was also named “Latino Publisher of the Year” in 2018. He is a former international correspondent and co-founder of HOY, the Chicago Tribune’s Spanish language publication. He is the author of “Así lo hicieron,” a 2012 book featuring profiles of outstanding Hispanic businessmen and women in the Chicago area.
