The publication celebrates the 5th anniversary of this initiative in the Chicago area.

Chicago, 12 February 2020— Negocios Now announced today its list of Latinos 40 Under 40 Class of 2019 recognizing the leadership of young Latinos in the Chicago Area. The celebration and award ceremony will take place at Latinicity, on March 26.

This is Negocios Now’s fifth group of Latino leaders under 40 in Chicago since the publication launched this initiative in 2015. Last year the company celebrated a similar event for the first time in New York City.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have another group of talented Latinos on our list and also to have received such positive feedback about the impact that Latinos 40 under 40 has had in the community”, said Clemente Nicado, Negocios Now’s publisher.

“I cannot believe that we have recognized over 240 young Latino leaders since we launched this initiative in 2015. They are Latinos who make a difference today and are the hope of the future”, said Nicado.

Remy Martin is the main sponsor of the event that this year will also be supported by ComEd, BMO, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and others. Negocios Now will announce other sponsors shortly.

The 40 recipients were selected after an over four-month nomination period. This year Negocios Now had record participation. They represent businesses, corporate, government, nonprofits, design and education, among other fields.

“In 2015, when we started, we faced the challenge to find young Latino leaders in the city. Today we face the challenge of choosing 40 among over 100 nominations. Many of them deserve to be part of the list. They will be considered for next year”, said Nicado.

The Latinos 40 Under 40 celebration and networking event will be held on Thursday,  March 26, from 6 to 10 pm. at Latinicity, 108 N. Street, Chicago (Block 37).
