He is especially passionate about creating digital experiences that foster strong communities, broaden access to STEM pathways, and deliver impactful career development resources for students and professionals. At the core of his work is a commitment to empowering Latino and underserved communities that have historically faced barriers to opportunity. Michael believes deeply that representation matters—if you can see it, you can be it.
As an AI Product Manager at Conectado, Michael leads the development of innovative solutions such as the AI Opportunity Backpack—an AI-powered career development platform designed to equip individuals with the tools, guidance, and resources needed to succeed in STEM and emerging technology fields. The platform centralizes access to over 60,000 opportunities across six categories: jobs, internships, scholarships, mentorships, apprenticeships, and bootcamps. It also features an AI-powered assistant that personalizes opportunity matching and career guidance based on each user’s goals, skills, and interests.
By centralizing these resources, the platform enables users to navigate their career journeys more effectively while accelerating access to high-growth opportunities in tech. This work directly supports Conectado’s mission of guiding individuals from the classroom, to career, and ultimately to the boardroom.
Michael earned his BA in Sociology and Chicano Studies, with a minor in Education, from the University of California, Berkeley. Looking ahead, he plans to pursue an MBA as part of his commitment to lifelong learning and to further scale his impact in advancing equitable access to opportunity through technology.
