Melissa Larrazabal is a business and marketing leader with 15+ years of diverse experience in the health care industry. Throughout her career journey, she has consistently been recognized both for her impact on the organization and on patients, through her roles in Professional Marketing, Payer Marketing, Patient Marketing, Business Development, Sales, Finance, and Analytics.

Currently, she serves as Director of Patient Experience leading efforts to support patients with Pulmonary Hypertension at Janssen Pharmaceuticals, a Johnson & Johnson company.

Before this role, Melissa was Director of New Products and Business Development at Janssen. She led efforts to ensure future growth, providing strategic input to pipeline assets and business development opportunities. Prior to that role, Melissa was a Product Marketing Director in Janssen’s Cardiovascular and Metabolism franchise, and her efforts helped the brand she supported reach blockbuster status and support over 500,000 patients. During her time on the brand team, Melissa led payer and access initiatives, launch planning, creative development, non-personal marketing, and multicultural consumer efforts.

Among her qualities is her ability to lead with authenticity, empathy, and resiliency to create a positive, collaborative and productive environment for teams to thrive with purpose. She is part of HOLA (Johnson & Johnson’s Hispanic Employee Resource Group), where she proudly demonstrates her passion for championing initiatives to support diversity, talent development, multicultural business growth opportunities and community impact.

Melissa joined Janssen as part of the Experienced Commercial Leadership Development Program (ECLDP) after completing her Master in Business Administration (MBA) at Cornell University. She began her career in Venezuela working in finance at PwC and Novartis. She lives in New Jersey with her husband David and two wonderful kids, Vanessa (8) and Daniel (5).
