Melisa Godinez is passionate about connecting people to great opportunities, leading her to a career in recruiting.
In her current role she supports the sales side of business, bringing different strategic methods to attract new talent. Melisa is passionate about diversity and inclusion and wants to ensure her team is focused on bringing diverse talent into the organization. She believes diversity brings innovation and creates a better American society. To further contribute and make a positive impact, she is part of her organization’s D&I committee.
Melisa has built very strong relationships with her networking presence and has been successful meeting hiring initiatives. Her ultimate goal is for each candidate to have the best experience possible.
Melisa received her bachelor’s degree in human resources and organizational leadership from Rasmussen University, while working full time. For her, working full time and completing an online bachelor’s program was extremely challenging but she never gave up. She stresses that not attending a top tier University won’t affect your career and that as you strive for success you can overcome any obstacles.
Melisa was born and raised in Chicago. She is the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants from Guadalajara, Jalisco, who worked very hard to ensure a bright future. She is a proud Latina that believes in giving back to her community and overall wants to make her parents proud of her accomplishments. She wants to be seen as a role model to young Latinas and show them that success is possible by taking the initiative and never giving up.
In her free time Melisa enjoys traveling, working out and spending time with family and friends.
