Meet Laura Muller – Latinos 40 Under 40 Class of 2018

Radio Claret America news anchor and journalist, Laura is also a mom of two boys, two cats and a husband. Her mission is to show a real face of motherhood, while also sharing information, healthy recipes to enjoy, as a family and keeping loved ones healthy.

As an influencer Laura has opportunities to share the value of maintaining Hispanic roots by raising bilingual and bicultural families to promote family values and being united. Laura also shares her life with more than 1.7 Million people via her social media channels.

As a target of bullying for being overweight as a child, Laura launched her YouTube channel in 2011 where she talked openly about dealing with being overweight, her personal fight to stay healthy and her experiences of being bullied, in hopes to help parents whose kids were being bullied.

Laura’s healthy recipes program has taken her to Washington, D.C., with the Partnership for a Healthier America, with Michelle Obama. She has also been a speaker for a Disney Princess conference in California and realized a dream when she gave speeches and cooking classes at the Mexico City Convention Center.

Laura has worked with Walmart, Gerber, Barilla, Dole, Disney and many other brands. She works with Radio Claret America, the Claretian Missionaries of the United States and Canada, sharing sensitive information in Spanish as well as radio programs focused on self-esteem and spiritual growth.

She considers herself a citizen of the world and has had had the opportunity to live in Mexico, Brazil, the US and New Zealand. Those experiences have also allowed Laura to become multicultural and trilingual.

Laura has a degree in Communications with a postgraduate degree in Journalism from the University of Canterbury. She is a published author of, “Urban Roulette” and “Healthy Recipes”. She’s also had post-graduate studies in Right to Information, by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and in Domestic Violence and Gender Equity by UNAM.
