Midwest Association of Translators and Interpreters (MATI) has voted Elizabeth Colón, CEO and founder of Metaphasis in as the next Board of Directors President.
MATI is a chapter of the American Translators Association (ATA), a professional association founded by and for translators and interpreters in the states of Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.
MATI’s objectives include promoting the recognition and advancement of translation and interpretation as professions.
Elizabeth has expressed that she will bring her passion for the language services industry and experience to the MATI organization. Her focus, during her tenure as President, will be listening to the needs of the interpreters and translators and ensuring that the proper resources are in place for valuable networking and professional development opportunities.
All newly elected board members, including Elizabeth, will officially be installed at MATI’s Annual Business Meeting, tentatively set for Saturday, August 6, in Milwaukee.
