Marissa Perez, a proud first-generation Mexican American, was born and raised in the East San Francisco Bay Area. She frequently traveled back to her family’s home state of Michoacan while growing up, enriching her cultural heritage and orgullo Mexicano. With over a decade of experience at Robert Half, she currently serves as the Product Manager for Workday Recruiting, where she works to continuously improve the candidate and recruiter experience for those who want to work for Robert Half and its subsidiary, Protiviti. She played a pivotal role in the successful implementation of Workday Recruiting at Robert Half in 2016.
Marissa is a proud alumna of UC Santa Cruz, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular, Cell, & Developmental Biology. Her passion for supporting the next generation of professionals is evident through her involvement as Chief of Operations for the Association for Latino Professionals For America’s (ALPFA) San Francisco Chapter.
As a senior leader within Robert Half’s Latinx/Hispanic Employee Network Group, Somos Familia, Marissa is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive community. Through Somos, she leads #LaCultura, a weekly call where various forms of media and their impact on the Latinx community and allies are discussed.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Marissa values quality time with her family, particularly her nieces and nephews who lovingly call her Tia Issa. She is also an avid traveler, enjoys watching an array of TV shows and movies, and is a proud Adult Fan of Lego (AFOL).
