As principal on The Rockefeller Foundation’s Innovative Finance team, Lorenzo helps lead the Foundation’s program-related investment work, which consists of a growing portfolio of investments that support the Foundation’s philanthropic goals.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Lorenzo spent a decade covering colleges, universities, academic medical centers, foundations, and other non-profits as an investment banker with J.P. Morgan and Barclays.  While at J.P. Morgan, Lorenzo served as a project manager for the firm’s Hispanic Leadership Forum, supporting development and retention efforts.

Hailing from the Bronx and Brooklyn, and the proud son of Mexican immigrants from Puebla, Lorenzo has led various efforts focused on equity and economic opportunity alongside United Neighborhood Houses, Sponsors for Educational Opportunity, and Columbia University.  He is a 2020 Council of Urban Professionals (CUP) Fellow and was a 2019 Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility (HACR) Leadership Pipeline representative for J.P. Morgan.

Lorenzo holds a B.A. in financial economics with honors from the University of Rochester and is a CFA charterholder.
