 Lina Cruz is the senior manager of partnership marketing for the New York City Football Club. Before joining the soccer club, she was the New York Yankees’ manager of multicultural affairs. As such, she served as the Yankees in-house resource on all Latino/multicultural matters for more than 9 years. Cruz also served as one of the board members for the New York Yankees Foundation, which provides assistance for organizations located in the Bronx and surrounding areas. 

In her role as manager of multicultural affairs, Cruz supported the Yankees in their ongoing commitment to being a productive member of the community. Additionally, Cruz was the point person for the Yankees’ Spanish-language radio broadcasts, TV, digital, print and social media sites, the latter of which experienced more than a 20% growth per year since 2016. A native of Colombia and resident of New York, Cruz has been recognized by various organizations for her work in the community and sports.

Lina graduated with an A.S. in business management; a B.S. in public affairs and psychology; an M.A. in corporate communications and has certificates in translation and interpretation and in Sports Industry Essentials. 

In addition to her accomplishments in the sports industry, Lina is the founder of TOP Multicultural, a company that provides marketing/consulting services, as well as the host of Linitalks, a podcast that aims to empower, educate and inspire others. She is a woman of many hats that believes in the power of hard work and dedication.
