Kiana Vives believes it is important for organizations like HACE to recognize the next generation of leaders to serve as examples for the next generation.

As one moves up in the world, it is essential to recognize those leaders who came before us and demonstrate the faith that we have for the next set of leaders to know that they too can and will create an impact on the world.

A self-described “Army Brat,” she was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Puerto Rican parents. Her father served in the U.S. Army while her mother stayed home and raised her and her brother.

As an “Army Brat,” she and her family traveled to many places throughout the United States, as well as overseas. As a result of these moves, she gained many experiences and knowledge along the way.

Eventually, she and her family settled in Florida where she attended the University of Central Florida in Orlando. There, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and her MBA by 21 years of age.

After her college career, she moved to Northern Virginia, working as a Contracting Officer for the U.S. Government. While working for the government, she found herself in a Project Management role leading a small, dynamic team of people where she continues to work.

She also works as a Real Estate Agent and paints and hikes.
