My name is Juan Pablo Marquez, and I currently serve as the Market President for the Northwest Market in Illinois at BMO. I’ve been with BMO for 12 years, and for the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of leading two different markets. In my role, I focus on three core priorities that guide my leadership every day: developing others, driving meaningful community engagement, and growing the business in a way that creates long‑term, sustainable impact while ensuring my team consistently delivers an exceptional client experience with every interaction.

Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to supporting people, whether that means mentoring future leaders, empowering my teams to reach their potential, or building partnerships that strengthen the communities we serve. I believe that success is built through collaboration, authenticity, and creating opportunities for others to thrive.

Community involvement has always been an important part of who I am. I’ve served on several executive boards, including the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Catholic Charities, where I worked alongside leaders dedicated to improving economic mobility and supporting underserved communities. Today, I continue that work as an executive board member for Casa Esperanza in Chicago, helping advance programs and resources that uplift Latino families.

I was born and raised in Jalisco, Mexico, and I am very proud of my Latino roots. My heritage shapes the way I lead, the relationships I build, and the connection I feel with the Latino communities across Illinois. Being able to serve and represent these communities, both personally and professionally, is one of the greatest honors of my career.

I graduated from Lewis University with a degree in Finance and Marketing, and that foundation has helped me navigate and contribute to the financial industry with confidence, curiosity, and purpose. Every day, I strive to lead with integrity, elevate others, and make a positive impact for my team, my clients, and the communities we proudly serve.
