JPMorgan Chase has announced the launch of its American Dream Initiative (ADI), an ambitious strategy aimed at strengthening small businesses and fostering entrepreneurship across the United States.

The initiative plans to deploy up to $80 billion in credit over the next ten years, in addition to significantly expanding its client base within the business sector.

The plan aims to increase the number of small businesses served from the current seven million to 10 million over the coming decade, reflecting a clear commitment to the growth of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. For the institution, this sector is not only vital to the economy but also crucial for job creation and the development of local communities.

Ben Walter, the company’s CEO of Business Banking, explained to FOX Business that the goal is to support entrepreneurs beyond just providing financing. As he noted, the bank seeks to help small businesses achieve sustainable growth, hire more staff, and contribute to the economic vitality of their communities.

One of the central pillars of the program is expanding access to capital, while also offering practical tools to ensure businesses are better prepared when applying for financing. To this end, the initiative includes advisory and training programs designed to enhance business management capabilities.

Prominent among these is a mentorship program that currently features dozens of coaches providing free guidance over a nine-month period. The institution plans to nearly double the size of this team to reach even more entrepreneurs across the country.

Through this model, businesses not only improve their ability to access credit but also achieve more robust growth, characterized by increased hiring and improved operational results.

Furthermore, the bank seeks to expand its range of services for small businesses. New solutions—such as payroll services and other platforms designed to streamline daily business operations—will be added to the products already available, which include employee savings plans and invoicing tools.

The initiative also aims to connect entrepreneurs with additional resources, such as health coverage options and programs that facilitate their integration into larger supply chains—including securing contracts with the government and the defense industry. This latter point takes on particular significance in a context where the United States seeks to strengthen its domestic production and reduce its reliance on external suppliers.

Taken together, the American Dream Initiative represents one of the most extensive efforts by a financial institution to boost small businesses within the country. Beyond the sheer volume of investment, the program’s comprehensive approach—which combines financing, education, and access to opportunities—aims to generate a lasting impact on the American business landscape.
