Jennifer Aguilar: Empowering Businesses in Little Village

Jennifer Aguilar is the Executive Director of the Little Village Chamber of Commerce, whose mission is to promote and support the growth and success of businesses in Little Village. Additionally, the organization works to leverage the community’s unique cultural identity to generate new opportunities. In her role, Jennifer oversees the overall planning, coordination, and execution of all Little Village Chamber of Commerce and Little Village Special Service Area #25 staff, operations, programs, projects, and services.

With more than ten years of experience, Jennifer has successfully maintained the company brand image and reputation through strong relationship management with both public and private stakeholders. Moreover, she has consistently demonstrated forward-thinking strategies to enhance business success. Previously, she served as a Community Outreach Specialist at Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Network for six years, where she worked extensively with underserved communities in Illinois and Northwest Indiana to spread awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation.

In addition, Jennifer was also a Marketing Specialist for Hispanic Cheese Makers – Nuestro Queso – for five years, during which she managed promotional events and campaigns. She also played a key role in establishing the management process for private label clients. Thanks to the valuable experience she has gained throughout her career, she has been able to build her leadership capacity and expand her knowledge in nonprofit management, business marketing, and strategic planning.

Born and raised in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood, Jennifer remains deeply connected to her roots and currently resides in the area. Above all, her biggest passion is giving back to her community through her work with the Little Village Chamber of Commerce. Previously, she served as Board Secretary for the Little Village Chamber of Commerce and as a Board Director for the Foundation of Little Village, further demonstrating her commitment to the community.
