Jazmin Garcia is a queer, first-generation, Mexican-American dedicated to expanding leadership opportunities for LGBTQAI and Latinx professionals. Her experience growing up across borders in San Diego, California and Tijuana, Baja California inspired her to be a curious leader and prompted her passion for public service and social impact.
Professionally, Jazmin has extensive experience in fundraising and grant making specific to entrepreneurship, small business expansion, jobs, skills and neighborhood revitalization. Jazmin is dedicated to the development of leadership for all youth and is an avid volunteer with ChicagoNext, Chicago Sister Cities International, Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, University of San Diego Senior Legacy, Chicago Scholars, and the Association of Latino/as Motivating Action (ALMA) Chicago.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of San Diego, and is both the National Vice President of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Alumni Association (PPF 2015-2016) and the Nonprofit and Social Impact Leader from the Baumhart Center at Loyola’s Quinlan School of Business. She is an alumnus of the Emerging Leaders Program with Chicago Women in Philanthropy and is now a Programs Committee member.
