The founder of Carnicerias Jimenez will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award during the Negocios Now 15th Anniversary Gala, to be held on July 15 at The Palmer House Hilton. 

After emigrating from Mexico, Jiménez bought a small market with a $200 deposit and today is the owner of 8 supermarkets located in Chicago and its metropolitan area.

“The story of José Jiménez is a monument to what can be achieved in this country with effort and perseverance,” said Clemente Nicado, publisher of Negocios Now.

During the Gala, Carmen Solano-De Carrier, owner-operator of 19 McDonalds restaurants, will also be recognized with the Latinas in Business Award, while Juan Moreno, founder of JGMA, will receive the Business of the Year Award.
