Favio is a rising leader in the offshore wind and clean energy industry. He has made it his career mission to build and strengthen systems that promote economic growth and healthy environments for marginalized communities. At Attentive Energy, he leads community engagement for the offshore wind developers’ investments in New York and New Jersey where he ensures the most vulnerable communities can benefit from the economic and environmental improvements that will be ushered by the emerging industry.
Favio’s career arc includes experiences leading government clean energy workforce programs, senior leadership at a management consulting firm where he spearheaded projects for public sector clients, and multiple roles in nonprofit organizations, including AmpleSpace, which he co-founded as an effort to increase access to mental health services for men of color.
Favio’s mission is inspired by his early years living between the Dominican Republic and New York City, where he was keenly aware of the disproportionate economic and environmental challenges faced by communities of color. Favio also witnessed how these challenges were juxtaposed by strong local efforts that create bridges to opportunity. Understanding this dynamic has fueled Favio’s career interest and educational pursuits.
He earned a Master of Public Administration from New York University, where he also co-taught a course on the fundamentals of nonprofit management. Favio also holds a Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York, College at Old Westbury. He is an alumni of the Council of Urban Professionals and a proud member of La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity Incorporated.
He is an avid traveler and enjoys endurance training such as swimming and running during his free time.
Favio aims to continue creating opportunities that ensure communities of color are at the forefront of the environmental protection and economic growth represented by the clean energy evolution.
